Students benefit from a collaborative team that meets with the family at least once a year to assess the student’s progress and formulate educational, therapeutic, career, and life goals. With functional independence as the ultimate objective, goals are tailored to each child’s strengths and personal needs. These meetings result in an Individualized Service Plan or ISP.
Some of our students will continue to need support making decisions about their personal or financial affairs after they become legal adults. As your child approaches the age of 18, we will begin to discuss whether they would benefit from a court-appointed guardian. If your family believes a guardianship is appropriate for your child, our staff can explain the application process and assist with necessary paperwork.
The application and renewal process for Step Up scholarships can be confusing and frustrating. Our experienced office staff are always available to answer questions and help navigate the scholarship websites.
