At LSA, our middle school students continue to develop their academic skills through a blend of therapeutic and academic interventions, all while preparing for the transition to high school. Beginning at age 13, students are invited to participate in their annual service plan meetings. During these meetings, they are actively involved in discussions about their potential progression to LSA high school and the educational pathway that best suits their needs.
The middle school years are also a critical time for students to cultivate essential social, emotional, and behavioral skills. Developing these skills is vital for eligibility to join the LSA high school, as we maintain a strict policy against highly disruptive or unsafe behaviors on our high school campus.
